The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
Water & cleaning at TaoMassage
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From TaoMassage's own information: UV sterilization, hydrogen peroxide.

From the reviews
Had an ashiatzu massage with Andi today and it was remarkable. I am a massage person and can't say enough about this service. The location is also amazing with infrared sauna and floatation. A+
Truly an incredible experience every time! This is my go to place when I want to 'treat myself' and really feel relaxed and decompressed. Such an amazing small business, they really pride themselves on quality and making their clients happy!
I have been going to Crystal for facials for quite a while now. She prepped me for my wedding and made my skin look beautiful. Not only did she make me LOOK beautiful, but she takes such care when you are with her. She goes above and beyond to make you feel relaxed, but at the same time is very thorough.
I don’t write reviews often but this is much needed! I get massages very frequently and just received one of the best from Gerard. It was also a prenatal one which usually is not as satisfying but wow I am so impressed and would highly recommend. The owner Vivian was also so accommodating and helpful!
Your first float at TaoMassage
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
