For every US city with at least two well-reviewed float centers, we scored the local scene on the one thing that travels: how good the centers are, measured by Google rating weighted by review volume. The cities where floaters keep coming back and leaving five stars rise to the top. Updated 2026-07-25.

Methodology: center counts and Google ratings from our continuously maintained national directory (586 float centers, 98,230 customer reviews; genuine float / sensory-deprivation centers only). Eligibility: a city needs at least two centers that each carry 10+ reviews. Score = the mean of those centers' (Google rating × log10 of review count), which rewards cities whose centers are both well-rated and well-visited rather than a single lucky five-star. Cities are rolled up by the city name centers list on their address, so suburbs score separately from their metro anchor.
