Water & cleaning at True REST Float Spa
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From True REST Float Spa's own information: down to a 5-micron filter, UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

From the reviews
Float Therapy is a GO! On Saturday afternoon (11/22/25), we visited the McDonough spa and received a completely informative tour from Tamika. Observing the premises firsthand alleviated my initial apprehension regarding floating alone in a pod.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting True Rest Float Therapy, and my experience was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with a serene and welcoming environment that immediately put me at ease.
My son wanted to try a float for the first time, for his birthday. He found True Rest in McDonough and I made an appointment for him. The staff was very accomadating while making the appointment and answered all my questions. From the moment we went in, we felt very welcomed.
The experience is so deeply relaxing—my mind and body felt reset afterward. Floating alone is incredible, but now that they’ve added cold plunge and red light therapy, it takes the whole experience to another level. You can really feel the difference in recovery, inflammation, and overall well-being.
Your first float at True REST Float Spa
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
