This place is truly amazing! The selection of treatments they have is outstanding. I had the float therapy session and it was spectacular. As a business man and a doctor I understand the importance of being in an environment that you can be freed of everything.
We went to use the sauna and salt room. Absolutely loved it. We never did the salt room before and it was so relaxing. Can't wait to do a float. Have done the sauna and float at other places, so I'm looking forward to when I can do 1 here. I have issues with my adrenals and the float is great to help with the cortisol.
I had my first experience recently at Float haven. I’ve floated before and the experience was amazing. The room was clean and I was provided all I needed. I also did a 30 minute salt room session. The room was very cold and not very relaxing. The noise from the pump that brought in the salt air was kind of annoying.
Highly recommend Float Haven for a relaxing experience! They have a handful of different amenities-the floats and sauna are amazing! Also, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They make sure to answer any questions you may have and help make the experience a relaxing one! Can’t wait to come back!
Your first float at Pitman Healing House
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
