The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
Water & cleaning at Peak Performance Float, Inc.
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Peak Performance Float, Inc.'s own information: filters the full tank 4× between floats, UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

From the reviews
I was so happy to see that Peak Performance Float is open. Pain and stress relief is SO essential, especially during these high anxiety times. I felt like the place was very safe, going above and beyond with safety precautions.
Best staff and facilities. So grateful to have found Rebecca and Peak Performance Float. I come weekly and recharge from an action-packed lifestyle. Nothing compares to this to recharge my battery mentally, spiritually and physically. The benefits of the quiet and the magnesium carry me through my week.
I am a believer in wellness and had wanted to try floating for a while. One day a few years ago, I decided to make an appointment. Rebecca answered the phone and in a few short minutes, she gave me the rundown on how it all works. I was hooked just by her knowledge and couldn’t wait to float.
Just finished a 90min float session and it was incredibly therapeutic! My back tightness is less and my stress levels are way down. Rebecca was really helpful and a joy to interact with. She explained everything clearly and thoroughly. Highly recommend Peak Performance Float in Walnut Creek.
Your first float at Peak Performance Float, Inc.
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
