From the reviews
I had an amazing experience at Pause in Southlake. I tried both the floating tank and the red light therapy bed, and both exceeded expectations. The float session was incredibly relaxing—it completely quieted my mind and helped me reset in a way I didn’t realize I needed.
I had such a beautiful experience at Pause. I’ve floated before (just not here), so I had a frame of reference — and this visit honestly hit different. From the moment I walked in, everything felt intentional: calm, clean, and peaceful without being intimidating. The space alone makes you exhale.
This was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. I did the float therapy and it was amazing. Def recommend. I didn't expect to fall asleep but I was so relaxed. I already told my dad I'm bringing him here to have him try it. Plus everything was so clean and im HUGE on hygiene.
I absolutely loved my experience at Pause! From the moment I entered the building, I was impressed with how peaceful and welcoming the environment was. After having a couple stressful days, my friend had suggested I try the float tank at Pause, and it was exactly what I needed.
Your first float at Pause Southlake
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
