The tanks & rooms here
The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
A walk-in enclosure with full standing height — for taller floaters and anyone who wants privacy without a low lid.
Water & cleaning at Float Seattle (South Lake Union)
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Float Seattle (South Lake Union)'s own information: UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

I've been going to Float Seattle since October 2019. We gave it a try to get all relaxed ahead of a trip and we fell in love with floating. So, we've been members pretty much since then. It's great for physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. I highly recommend you give it a try. It really helps with meditation too.
This place is awesome. I’m an avid floater and I brought my husband in for his first float while visiting Seattle for the weekend. He had great experience. The owner was so thorough in explaining everything. Great value! I recommend the cabins vs pods all day! Thank you, Float Seattle!
Float Seattle was incredible! Our group of four came in after a heavy strength-training weekend and needed some real recovery time. The float was exactly what we were hoping for: deeply relaxing and surprisingly rejuvenating.
Jasmine was super welcoming and put me straight at ease. She was very thorough with her instructions, which I appreciated. Everything you need is provided: towel, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, ear wash (in case some salt water got into your ear canals), makeup remover, Vaseline (if you have any cuts), q-tips,…
Your first float at Float Seattle (South Lake Union)
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
