First time floating and it was amazing!!! We did the 2 person float and it was phenomenal. It was So relaxing, and all the staff were super welcoming! Am definitely going to come here again and recommend it to friends and family!
First time in today and Lisa was so helpful and welcoming! As someone with a chronic lung disease, I have been wanting to try IR therapy so the salt spa seemed like a good fit for my needs. I left feeling less wheezy, less inflamed and could really get a good deep breath after the 45 minute session. Clean, safe space.
Tried the floating experience for the first time! 60-min session was a bit surreal. Complete darkness with ear plugs in made it super easy to zone out and simply be present. Fell asleep a couple of times! Water was 96 degrees and there was so much epsom salt that I was able to easily float at the surface.
I had a great experience at the Float District. I did a 1 hour float and it was extremely relaxing. The facilities were very nice and clean. John was really helpful showing me everything they offer and explaining how to use the float. It was a really cool experience and I'm looking forward to returning.
Your first float at Float District
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
