From the reviews
Top notch facility. They have everything you need. From fitness training to combatives training. Staff is very friendly. First time using a Float Tank today and...WOW. I have osteoarthritis and still recovering from my second hip replacement. The session left me feeling amazing. Will be adding floats to my recovery.
Float Tank First Timer - Totally Recommended Sore from training, and over-stimulated from staring at a computer screen all week, I was thrilled to take me a float at Bull & Bear. I totally loved it. I haven’t experienced a float tank before, so I didn’t know what to expect.
Looking back 7 years now: Finding this gym was one of the best things to happen in my life. It is the most real gym I have ever been a member of. This reflects the character of the owner; who has the wild audacity to be uniquely genuine in a world filled with people who do not know themselves.
Experienced firsthand today how great not only the owner and staff, but also the members are here. Currently stuck in my membership with Gold’s for a couple more months, but as soon as that’s up (or maybe even before), I will sign up here. Great place and great people.
Your first float at Bull & Bear Gym
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
