Water & cleaning at TrueREST Float Spa Fort Mill
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From TrueREST Float Spa Fort Mill's own information: down to a 5-micron filter, UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

I was so nervous to try floating, but TrueRest made it so easy and relaxing for a first-timer! I absolutely loved my first float. The facility was beautiful and clean. The staff was so welcoming - we had a wonderful conversation afterward.
I didn't know much about floating going in, but Michael took the time to walk me through the whole process and made me feel at ease right away. Really appreciated that. The facility is clean, well maintained, and has a calm vibe throughout. The float was great and I left feeling relaxed and surprisingly energized.
I absolutely love floating here. It’s a great experience for my mind and body every time I visit! If you’re looking for deep relaxation or to help ease pain, book a 60 minute float session here! They have everything you need(towels, ear plugs, toiletries) making for an easy, stress-free experience.
Wow! I’ve never had an experience quite like this one. I’m new to spas in general but especially Med Spas. I’m also new to the Carolinas. One of my gal pals recommended this place and I can see why. I had a fantastic float.
Your first float at TrueREST Float Spa Fort Mill
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
