From the reviews
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and can't recommend this place enough. This was my first float and they did a great job of orienting me to the process. The facility was super clean. My float was in the Genesis tub which was gorgeous, clean, and warm. I would like to suggest offering tea at the end of the float.
Place was a good destination for float. Tank was clean and protocol was solid so you cannot ask for more. The only critique I have as a yoga practitioner and mystic ot many years is heads should not be pointed north with tanks.
Gabe and I went to total zen float and we were helped by Garrett. He was very knowledgeable and kind, had a lot of passion and patience in explaining to us what to expect and shared some experiences others had to ease any concerns and curiosities. It was our first float experience and needless to say, it was amazing!
Overall an amazing float experience. I tried this location for my first float and I'm so glad I did! The staff was incredibly warm and friendly which added so much to the already peaceful and calm atmosphere. When floating I'm all about the transition back to reality and Total Zen makes that time serene and joyful.
Your first float at Total Zen Float
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
