Amazing float spa for El Paso, they have only 1 sensory deprivation tank. It is however a large float cabin with some options for music or lights. It is a very luxurious float tank to try. The facility is nice and the atmosphere is very calming.
I visited this place because of Joe Rogan mentioning it in one of his podcasts lol. After I did it was the best experience I have ever had. I will continue to come and I love the float tank. The staff here are always super chill and very informative, Rodrigo really made me feel comfortable and welcomed.
I was a little skeptical to try it my first time. However, the staff provided such an awesome experience plus a wealth of knowledge regarding the benefits of floating. After a couple of floats I was able to experience how beneficial floating can be to both the mind and body.
I booked a 60-min float and a 40-min sauna session for myself and my mother-in-law. Such a great experience! Firstly, the customer service at this place is phenomenal. I did all the scheduling and payments over the phone with Robert, and he was so polite and accommodating.
Your first float at The Float Spa
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
