From the reviews
I had a great first experience. It was a very warm welcome, an excellent tour, and a pretty easy process. Initially, I was a little skeptical about floating as the tank doesn’t seem very deep. I was proven wrong very fast as I immediately floated as I laid flat.
We did an hour float for the first time. The staff was polite, professional and informative. Pro tip bring flip flops with you and change quickly in the car before hand. The floor will get wet and socks are not a good idea. They provide you petroleum jelly to cover cuts and ear plugs.
This was my first experience with float therapy. It was quite an interesting experience. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful and explained the instructions. I had the capsule. I would have appreciated flip flops but the flooring was not tile so I wasn’t going to slip.
Best thing to ever happen to my back. After years of physical therapy (and trying acupuncture and all sorts of other treatments), I found floating. No pain and all gain. I float in salt water for 45 minutes a week and it opens up my back muscles, losens my neck and makes me whole.
Your first float at Synergy Float Center
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
