From the reviews
Today I had a return visit to Park Floats, but this time I was accompanied by my wife who is able to partake in the wonderful experience. She had the more opened air float, which she loved immensely. Even though she’s not a fan of swimming and water in her face, she loved the experience and came out revitalized.
What an awesome experience at Park Row Floats - their facility and staff is top notch! The 60 minute float session was so relaxing and lovely - it was my first float and definitely won't be my last. This is a gem to have on the Eastern Shore and I'm hoping to stop by whenever I'm visiting the area!
Such a fun girls day!! I met a girlfriend here for a morning of relaxation. There were two rooms so neither of us had to wait. The float was SO relaxing, and when we came out of our rooms we were able to relax in the lounge, sip tea, and chat. The owner Mandi is so lovely.
LOVED the experience! I bought a couples float and salt cave gift certificate for my husband for Christmas, which was a unique and something that totally surprised him. The best way I can describe it is that it is as relaxing as a massage without anybody touching you!
Your first float at Park Row Floats
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
