The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
Water & cleaning at North Shore Wellness Club
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From North Shore Wellness Club's own information: down to a 1-micron filter, UV sterilization, ozone.

From the reviews
This was an amazing experience. Great atmosphere, very clean and relaxing. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, and made me very comfortable. My favorite part of this experience was the epsom salt “float room.” This was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Karen was very kind and accommodating. She took the time to go over everything in detail ahead of my first float. Very clean and zen setting. I would highly recommend North Shore Wellness Club! I will definitely be back 🧘🏼♀️🌊
My first ever float ! It was a good experience. This is a new place still figuring out some kinks but they are very accommodating and care about your experience. Give it your business.
Super nice and friendly owners. Very happy to explain what to expect for a first time float experience. Very nice facility. Happy to have experienced my first float tank with them.
Your first float at North Shore Wellness Club
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
