The tanks & rooms here
A walk-in enclosure with full standing height — for taller floaters and anyone who wants privacy without a low lid.
The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
Water & cleaning at Floating KC
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Floating KC's own information: UV sterilization, hydrogen peroxide.

From the reviews
I received a Groupon for a float package here and Maddie made the appointment scheduling a breeze. My friend and I had adjacent float rooms and did the massage chairs together. I loved the atmosphere- super calming and refreshing.
This was my first float, and was very relaxing! Staff was calming and explained the whole process so I had no worries going i to it. You get your own changing room with lots of personal touches before moving into a room with massage chairs, relaxing music, and starry projections on the walls to help you find your zen…
This is a beautiful place with a wonderful aesthetic and very pleasing scent. I had my first float session and staff was very kind welcoming and informative in every step. The massage chair before my float did wonders and the float experience within its self was incredible!
My friend Jan and I recently had another wonderful visit to Floating KC, and it just keeps getting better every time! This was our second visit, and it definitely won’t be our last. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly informative.
Your first float at Floating KC
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
