First time floating and I can’t wait to go back. The atmosphere was so relaxing. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the presentation of the building. Never have I ever felt so comfortable being nude. The rooms are very private. I felt so comfortable I slept 7 mins over my paid time!
I’m here at least twice a month. Sweat out the toxins and then float away the stress. Activate the heat shock proteins and then absorb magnesium. I’ll admit am a newbie when it comes to float therapy but I’ve visited enough spas to know that Float Clarkston is special.
Just WOW!!!! My hubby purchased the Bliss Package where I had 30 minutes in the sauna, 60 minutes float in the pod, and a 60 minute AMAZING massage!!! It was my very first time at Float Clarkston and from the second I walked in the door- I was welcomed with warmth and kindness......until I left- it was just the BEST!!!
I absolutely love every float here. I find floats very helpful for inflammation and relaxation. I enjoy warmer floats and this wonderful place is able to accommodate. I enjoy the calming smells of the shampoo and conditioner.
Your first float at Float Clarkston
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
