This was the most relaxing experience I have every had! The Spa is very nice, clean, and relaxing!! I has foot surgery last year and I have been having issues with my foot and knees that makes it difficult to walk. After my first Float Spa experience, I felt better walking out. I am going to be a weekly customer!
I have never floated before but I have been wanting to for the past ten years. The owners are very friendly, everything was clean and already set up for me when I arrived. I got a full description of how everything works and a few recommendations to make the experience more enjoyable.
A+... This was an awesome experience! The environment was clean and well prepared providing everything needed for the session. We were greeted warmly and given a thorough explanation because it was our first time. The float itself was amazing. You literally lose yourself in relaxation and before you know it...
What an amazing experience. My wife went through a 4 day dark room retreat so I felt the need to try something similar. I decided one hour in a float spa was the right answer. Hearing no sound, feeling nothing, and just being is quick the experience. The facility is beautiful, comfortable, and very private.
Your first float at Elysian Float Spa
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
