My wife got me a three-float intro gift for Christmas and just tried this for the first time. The degree of peacefulness inside the float pod is difficult to describe and this was unlike any other experience I've had -- so amazing to let your thoughts slip away and feel completely comfortable and ...
I highly recommend a massage & float experience at Eclipse Float Center! Joanne and her staff are friendly, knowledgeable and ensure client comfort & satisfaction. The facility is clean, cozy and peaceful. Prices are affordable and booking is user-friendly on the website. The massages are FANTASTIC!
What a delightful experience, and what a great place to have it at! A friend suggested that I give a float tank a try, and am so glad I did. Not too far away from where I live, and very reasonably priced. Easy to find once I got to Claremont, and felt immediately welcomed upon walking in!
My friends and I booked floats and massages at Eclipse for a bridal shower spa day. It was lovely, we were able to decorate the float room with balloons and a banner while the bride to be was getting her massage, the staff was so accommodating!
Your first float at Eclipse Float Center
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
