The tanks & rooms here
No lid to close over you — the answer for anyone who feels boxed in. Open pools, open rooms, or pods whose door stays open.
The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
A room-sized open pool of salt water. Zero enclosure, easiest for two, most spacious of all.

This was my second time here in 3 weeks! I did all 3 services the first time and all were amazing! Today I did a massage and then floated. I have floated in several other places all over the country. In tanks and pods. The float experience here is by far the absolute best ever!
I had my first float therapy experience here and I cannot recommend this enough!! City Cave has friendly staff and every single amenity you could need. Their relaxation room for after sessions is perfect for readjusting and getting ready to go back to the real world. I’m scheduling another float session ASAP!!
My husband and I tried a Couples Float Therapy Session for the first time and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was peaceful, everything was clean, and the radiant heat was a really nice touch. Once I settled in and turned the lights off, I was able to fully relax and honestly didn’t want to leave by the end.
City Cave was the best..me and my friend had the greatest time of our lives. The floating session followed by the massage was the greatest..I will definitely be booking other therapy sessions with them from here on out when I need to go somewhere just to relax. And the staff was very attentive to our needs.
Your first float at City Cave Float and Wellness Spa - Near Southside Fort Worth
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
