The tanks & rooms here

The vessel type is the single biggest thing to get right — especially if enclosed spaces make you uneasy. Here's what Breathe Salt Therapy runs, drawn from their own site and reviews.

🥚Float Pods

The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.

🛁Float Rooms

The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.

From the reviews

Lovely spa for some R&R and "me" time. The salt room is a great silent meditative time solo or a calm way to chill with a friend. My 9-year-old daughter loved it, too. Doing the foot detox is always relaxing. The sauna is hot and roomy. And, it's nice to have a float option closer to home.

Highly Recommend ,I have done the Float Tank 3 times, I had taken my Mother there and done the Foot Detox a few times and had received one of the best Massages I have ever gotten. They even have gift cards you can give to your family members or friends for the holidays or even to have a relax day off.

Great experience! Their floating is great! Massage was great too! Will deff be back! PS: what i would improve is making the floating room more cosy and some nice decor (cave feel)

I have been coming here for a couple months now and have done various massages by Sherri and Stephanie. If I can bottle up both those women and bring them to my house I would lol they are incredible!! Always lovely to chat with as well. Coming here is my favorite off switch.

Your first float at Breathe Salt Therapy

Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.

Floating isn't for everyone: skip it with epilepsy, kidney disease, uncontrolled heart conditions, open wounds, a contagious condition, or in the first trimester of pregnancy without your doctor's OK. If in doubt, ask the center and check with a physician — this is general information, not medical advice.
