From the reviews
This was my first float ever... I've been curious about it for a long time. It was very peaceful and relaxing once I got over my initial "jitters". I have a tough time switching off my thoughts, so it took awhile for me. BUT, the ocean waves track helped me relax eventually.
I had a fantastic experience at Anicca! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome, and the employee did a great job explaining the entire process. They gave me plenty of time to wash up and prepare before my session. The float tank itself was amazing.
Ahhhh...Serenity, Surrender...Weightlessness & sensory deprivation. I tried my first ever salt bath floating club experience & it was 1 million times better than a massage! My entire body was completely relaxed! I felt like I was floating on a cloud gently drifting & flying! I highly recommend it! I so needed it!
I went there for a float because I got a gift card. It was amazing. So peaceful, relaxing, so badly needed. The room and tank was so clean and sanitized I was beyond impressed. The gentleman that gave us a tour was so friendly, and nice, it helped to begin the peacefulness.
Your first float at Anicca - the Float Club
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
