Had my first visit to Vessel Floats today after getting a $100/month unlimited visit membership. I was greeted & had the options explains. Was served a venerate with tincture that is intended to assist your “mellow” and shown to the shower/float room.
I’ve been coming to Vessel Floats for about a year now, and I truly love it more every time. The space is beautiful and calming, the staff is always kind and welcoming, and the whole experience feels like a reset for my body and mind.
Incredible experience. Son helped me to shift gears as soon as I entered the space. She graciously explained everything and did not rush me (I was feeling nervous). The float itself was heavenly. I was looking forward to the guided meditation but couldn’t decipher it with the earplugs in, so I opted for silence.
After two long weeks working away from home in London and New York, this was the perfect way to end my trip. Deeply grounding, refreshing, and exactly what I needed—letting go of what no longer serves me and taking only what truly matters. If you haven’t tried it yet, I can’t recommend Vessel Floats enough.
Your first float at Vessel Floats
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
