What a wonderful, relaxing place! My friend and I decided that we wanted to float, for the first time, on a whim. We were only in Sedona for a couple of days and this was on my friend's travel wishlist. 😊 We were able to find an appointment where we could each float at the same time.
Chuck took such great care of me, I felt comfortable, and taken care of (financially and as a guide for my first few floats)! If you're a first-timer in Sedona, go here- I did three days in a row.
My wife and I came up for an unexpected long weekend trip from Mesa, we have done float spas in the valley previously and decided we would like to book one here. Not knowing that Sedona has a True Rest Float Spa, this was a pleasant surprise. This place was great! Stacy and George were amazing hosts.
We loved it! Fantastic activity for someone who wants the relaxation of a massage, but likes privacy and no touching!! Booked online (with a first time float special). Location was easy to get to. Lots of free parking. We were asked to arrive 30 min early (first time). Email and text reminders.
Your first float at True REST Float Spa Sedona
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
