The tanks & rooms here

The vessel type is the single biggest thing to get right — especially if enclosed spaces make you uneasy. Here's what True REST Float Spa • Chandler runs, drawn from their own site and reviews.

🥚Float Pods

The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.

🛁Float Rooms

The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.

Water & cleaning at True REST Float Spa • Chandler

Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From True REST Float Spa • Chandler's own information: down to a 5-micron filter, UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

The float-industry standard is turning the entire volume of water over at least three times between sessions through a 1–10 micron filter, paired with UV and/or hydrogen peroxide or ozone. If a center doesn't publish its process, it's fair to ask.

From the reviews

After a lifetime of NOT taking care of myself I was lucky enough to run into the owners of True REST Float Spa and they invited me to come try it out. This is my second time here and I am a RAVING fan! The staff is great. The ambient waiting area and oxygen bar is super cozy.

I'm kind of an old hand at floating, but I'd never had the experience of floating in a pod before. Needless to say, it was nothing like I'd expected. It was a wonderful experience, very soothing and calming. Courtney was super helpful and made the entire experience easy and answered all our questions.

Love this location, I've been coming here since 2018. This is the best spot where I can relax my body & mind. This place is very clean & their staff are friendly. They have an oxygen bar for members & products to use after your float for everyone to use

I saw a BOGO offer for True REST Float Spa on Instagram and I’m so glad I took advantage of it! My husband and I went for the first time last night, and the experience was seamless. From the moment we walked in, Keely was welcoming and attentive; she took the time to explain the entire process and gave us a great tour.

Your first float at True REST Float Spa • Chandler

Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.

Floating isn't for everyone: skip it with epilepsy, kidney disease, uncontrolled heart conditions, open wounds, a contagious condition, or in the first trimester of pregnancy without your doctor's OK. If in doubt, ask the center and check with a physician — this is general information, not medical advice.
