The tanks & rooms here
No lid to close over you — the answer for anyone who feels boxed in. Open pools, open rooms, or pods whose door stays open.
The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
Water & cleaning at Tranquil Balance LLC
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Tranquil Balance LLC's own information: filters the full tank 3× between floats, UV sterilization, hydrogen peroxide.

Try the float pool, awesome service and people working here. Brought my son who was on leave from the army as a treat before he goes back to base in TX. This spa also odfers; facials and 5 massage stations designed around the 5 natural elements, fire, water, wood, steel, earth.
I e been coming here for a float & massage for the past couple years and cant say enough how great my experience has been. I had neck pain from a bad pillow and slept wrong. I saw Jeff and not sure how but I left with no pain he’s awesome. I also saw Crystal who is amazing and very sweet.
Made an appointment for a sixty (60) minute float therapy today November 17, 2023. I arrived and was greeted by very friendly and professional staff. The minute I opened the door, it was a very serene atmosphere. The entire area was very clean and organized. The float therapy was a different experience for sure.
Wonderful experience doing a last minute float before a drive back to the Berkshires. The office and lounge space are truly tranquil and softly lit. Quiet ambient music plays in the background in the lounge, which I wish I had used for longer after my float.
Your first float at Tranquil Balance LLC
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
