The tanks & rooms here

The vessel type is the single biggest thing to get right — especially if enclosed spaces make you uneasy. Here's what The Spa at RiverStone runs, drawn from their own site and reviews.

🛁Float Rooms

The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.

Water & cleaning at The Spa at RiverStone

Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From The Spa at RiverStone's own information: UV sterilization.

The float-industry standard is turning the entire volume of water over at least three times between sessions through a 1–10 micron filter, paired with UV and/or hydrogen peroxide or ozone. If a center doesn't publish its process, it's fair to ask.

Also under this roof

Many floaters stack their session with contrast therapy the same day. Beyond the float tank, The Spa at RiverStone also offers:

From the reviews

Jana was my aesthetician. EXCELLENT 10/10. She made me feel so comfortable immediately, very professional, friendly, pleasant, communicated every step of both treatments and explained what was getting done , why and what was being used. Checked in on my every step of the way. Above & beyond type of customer service.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best spa experience I’ve ever had. I came to the Spa at Riverstone for my birthday and truly did not expect it to be as beautiful and amazing as it was. I’m from Nashville, and this spa honestly beats anything I’ve experienced back home.

Had a great experience. I have had several facials over the years, and you always know it is a good one when you fall asleep and come out more relaxed than going in. I felt like the products complimented my skin and I didn’t have a thick, cake feeling afterwards. Would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely recommended! It was wonderful, relaxing and effective on my skin. It hasn't felt that smooth in years. I'm sensitive to smells and the all organic products were great, no issues, no headaches. My treatment started a little late, but it also finished late - I got my full time.

Your first float at The Spa at RiverStone

Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.

Floating isn't for everyone: skip it with epilepsy, kidney disease, uncontrolled heart conditions, open wounds, a contagious condition, or in the first trimester of pregnancy without your doctor's OK. If in doubt, ask the center and check with a physician — this is general information, not medical advice.
