The tanks & rooms here
No lid to close over you — the answer for anyone who feels boxed in. Open pools, open rooms, or pods whose door stays open.
The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
A walk-in enclosure with full standing height — for taller floaters and anyone who wants privacy without a low lid.
The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
Water & cleaning at The Float Loft - Lexington
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From The Float Loft - Lexington's own information: ozone.

Super clean facility! I floated in the pod, and it was a perfect float experience. Highly recommend Float 859 as a part of your healthy lifestyle! SO RELAXING! Clean facility. All little details were thought through. Amazing float experience. We will come again!
Had my first float in the pod today. Patrick was super nice explaining Pre soak and post soak information. They have everything you need, down to slippers and q-tips. The shower is right in the room with you, wash and rinse then soak. I loved it..post float you shower, get dressed.
Had a fantastic experience! Patrick was friendly and helpful, gave me great info prior to my one hour float and 45 min infrared sauna experience. Highly recommend for someone to do both. I was celebrating my birthday and found it to be the perfect way to unwind and relax!
Your first float at The Float Loft - Lexington
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
