I recently had the pleasure of visiting Studio Anew for a 90-minute float therapy session, thanks to a Groupon deal. From the moment I entered, I was warmly welcomed by the staff and guided through a brief check-in process, making me feel instantly at ease. The facility itself is inviting and thoughtfully designed.
I had the most amazing float yesterday! The room and the float is so clean, and exactly what I needed. I had a situation with a gift card and the staff at the front desk and the owner went above and beyond necessary to help me. I am extremely grateful. Spoil yourself and book with studio anew.
I enjoyed my first one hour float at Studio Anew! My entire experience was totally relaxing from walking in to leaving. The staff persons were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The environment was clean, beautiful and peaceful. I didn’t feel rushed at all and the relaxation room was wonderful after the float.
Simply put it was a very clean and nice facility with kind and professional staff! I did the 90 min float and it was bliss. The water is just the right temperature and you have control over the volume (if you even want music) and lighting so it doesn't get too dark or too bright.
Your first float at Studio Anew Salon, Spa & Float Center
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
