From the reviews
I have been to Serenity Now a few times to float, they are always welcoming and kind! Today I went to try the salt room and I felt like my breathing was improved just being in their for 25 mins. I like many have been sick twice in two months and couldn't believe how good it felt to breath deeply without a stray cough!
I just want to say a very special thanks to the ladies at the Floating Spa, Nancy was so friendly from the minute I walked in the door and Rachel was above and beyond what I expected she talked to me about manual lymphatic drainage which new to me. The service today day was outstanding.
Fire and Ice After leaving a high-stress job, I started visiting Serenity Now Float Spa with my wife. We began with the sauna, enjoying the benefits of infrared light for energy and well-being. One day, we noticed an ice barrel in the sauna room and decided to try it.
First experience with this place and the whole float thing. It went well and we enjoyed it. The water seemed colder but they say we can ask for a higher temp next time. I, personally, would suggest 60 minutes the first time but 90 minutes together was pretty great too. Smelled nice, quiet, and very relaxing. Good job!
Your first float at Serenity Now Float Spa
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
