Water & cleaning at Remedy Me Spa LLC

Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Remedy Me Spa LLC's own information: down to a 1-micron filter, UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

The float-industry standard is turning the entire volume of water over at least three times between sessions through a 1–10 micron filter, paired with UV and/or hydrogen peroxide or ozone. If a center doesn't publish its process, it's fair to ask.

From the reviews

Being under a significant amount of stress lately, my friends told me about the hyperbolic float offered at Remedy Me Spa, LLC. I'm so thankful they did! I was very relaxed and had no arthritic pain at the end of my session. The staff was friendly and helpful as this was my very first appointment....which by the way...

The benefits of floating are phenomenal. I have a lot of back, neck, and bodily injuries as we as arthritis and autoimmune diseases. Floating has proven to affect my pain level significantly. Better than procedures, medication, PT, injections, massage therapy, etc. After a few floats the pain was decreased.

Today was my first float therapy session and it was perfect. The entire experience was easy and relaxing. The atmosphere was so serene. Toiletries were provided for showering before and after float. The float therapy itself was as wonderful. I felt so refreshed physically and mentally after my session.

I had my first float therapy at Remedy Me Spa today. What an amazing experience! Just the self care this doula needed to relax. As I was floating and before I really zoned out, I thought about how unbelievably awesome this would be for expecting mommas.

Your first float at Remedy Me Spa LLC

Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.

Floating isn't for everyone: skip it with epilepsy, kidney disease, uncontrolled heart conditions, open wounds, a contagious condition, or in the first trimester of pregnancy without your doctor's OK. If in doubt, ask the center and check with a physician — this is general information, not medical advice.
