The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
Water & cleaning at Relax and Restore Float Spa
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Relax and Restore Float Spa's own information: UV sterilization.

From the reviews
I booked a couples float for my husband and I on a whim while we were in the Nashville area. We both had such a pleasant experience (our first) that it will be hard to top! Saundra was both professional and engaging. We enjoyed her perspective and insight on floating, as well as on other wellness practices.
Owner is friendly and professional. It was my first time in a float tank. She explained everything I needed to know. I felt so good after the float. Will be a repeat customer.
Had a great first float experience with my fiancé! She was so helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and offered a quality experience. Some notes I’ll leave for other first timers is: You’ll shower when you arrive there before your float and after your float, you can choose to float naked or a swimsuit, and I’d suggest calling…
This is a completely relaxing experience! It is a private and safe environment. I cannot swim and was nervous about my first visit. Saundra made sure I was comfortable and knew what to expect and made it a very positive experience. I highly recommend this float spa. It is definitely worth investing in yourself!
Your first float at Relax and Restore Float Spa
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
