The vessel type is the single biggest thing to get right — especially if enclosed spaces make you uneasy. Here's what Pause Las Vegas runs, drawn from their own site and reviews.

🥚Float Pods

The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.

From the reviews

Unreal experience. 100/10 Don’t be afraid of the cryo machine. You can do it!! Floating was ethereal and feels like you’re in outer space. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the most luxurious wellness experience in Las Vegas! All the modalities you need in one place.

Today was my first time visiting Pause Studio, and it was absolutely amazing! I started by calling to see how the studio operates, and the team was incredibly helpful. I ended up booking a float session, which turned out to be the most relaxing experience I’ve ever had. The studio itself is beautiful and modern.

I’ve been seeing Eric and following him around for IVs for a few years now. Super comfortable lounge chairs for IV treatment. The entire location is beautiful and comfortable! Great selection of IV treatments and other options such as sauna, cryo therapy, cold plunge, AI robot massage, and even a float tank!!

Absolutely. Here’s a polished five-star review you can copy and paste: I had such a great experience here and was honestly really impressed from start to finish. I originally came in for the robotic massage, but decided to add on an hour in the saltwater float tank too, and I’m so glad I did.

Your first float at Pause Las Vegas

Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.

Floating isn't for everyone: skip it with epilepsy, kidney disease, uncontrolled heart conditions, open wounds, a contagious condition, or in the first trimester of pregnancy without your doctor's OK. If in doubt, ask the center and check with a physician — this is general information, not medical advice.
