From the reviews
Scheduled a floating session with a friend as a birthday gift. Great facility and super friendly staff. We had our own suites and enjoyed a relaxing 60+ min float. We used the primp station and quiet sitting room afterwards. Excellent experience at Light Side and can't wait to return!
What a great experience! I've never tried floating before and always wanted to, but of course was a little nervous about the whole process. Alyssa and Tom walked me through the process while giving me a tour of their beautiful facility.
Light side floats is excellent facility. Their float tanks are cleaned and they go above and beyond to keep you safe while still providing everything you need. The sauna experience was beyond beautiful. Just remember to bring your own towel and slippers! Would highly recommend for a relaxing float in the area
I felt my energy shift as soon as I walked through the door. The place was beckoning me to relax before I even saw the floating area. Super clean, welcoming environment. There is a beautiful, peaceful room for you to hang out in after you float. With tea and activities to keep the "relaxation station" on!
Your first float at Light Side Floats
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
