The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
A walk-in enclosure with full standing height — for taller floaters and anyone who wants privacy without a low lid.

Had a great experience with a hot sauna/cold plunge session at Kontrast! Everything was clean and professional. We were visiting from out of town and the staff was super easy to communicate with via email. Hope to return when they have their sensory deprivation tank up and running.
I had been looking to try a float tank for years , I came across and Kontråst and I’m so glad I did! Megan was incredibly informative on the process and the atmosphere was super welcoming! I look forward to my next session & trying their cold plunge & sauna!
I have been getting monthly massages with Megan for over a year. She helps keep my broken body less painful and I'm always amazed how much better I feel every time I leave. Megan and Danielle's new place, Kontrast, is just exceptional! What sets Kontrast apart is their commitment to offering comprehensive therapies.
Although I usually use my own ice tub which is a bit colder, this was a great alternative as my ice tub was out of commission for repair. I called last minute and was told they had no openings for the day. They took my number and called me later to squeeze me in. So professional and caring.
Your first float at kontråst
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
