The tanks & rooms here
The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
Water & cleaning at Grey Matter Float Spa, Infrared Sauna, & CBD Boutique
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Grey Matter Float Spa, Infrared Sauna, & CBD Boutique's own information: down to a 1-micron filter, UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

From the reviews
Had never done the whole float thing before and since finding Grey Matter have floated 3 times and my body loves me more for it. The staff is fantastic and I've already recommended Grey Matter to some friends and will keep doing so. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience!
Had my first float experience here. It was very relaxing and comfortable. I used the largest tub and drifted in the darkness for most of my hour in there. I really enjoyed the complete lack of stimuli, opening and closing my eyes and not being able to register the difference.
My experiences at Grey Matter Float were exceptional. The spa space is geared toward promoting wellness and relaxation. The tea selection was on point and really complimented the flotation therapy experience.
As a gift for my first mother's day this year, my partner got me a gift certificate for my first float and I am hooked! I have a steady meditation practice but floating takes it to a whole new level.
Your first float at Grey Matter Float Spa, Infrared Sauna, & CBD Boutique
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
