The tanks & rooms here
A walk-in enclosure with full standing height — for taller floaters and anyone who wants privacy without a low lid.
The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
Water & cleaning at Float Quad Cities
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Float Quad Cities's own information: down to a 1-micron filter, UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

It was nice ,Anyone thinking of going definitely should watch the video before you go .It definitely helps you understand the process .I enjoyed my 1st float the water could have been warmer yet I wasn't to cold .I definitely used the earplugs and the head float Shower was nice everything was provided for shower .
First of all, I am very modest and forgot my bathing suit! I was worried about privacy. Well, I felt at ease right away. I had my own room with shower and could lock the door. The float tank was set a little low in temperature for my taste and the air in the tank could have been warmer as well.
I have been going since they basically been open. The first time I was not able to rest, with the magnesium float it had greatly helped my nerve pain and other aches and pains that I get.

Your first float at Float Quad Cities
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
