Water & cleaning at Float Om Spa Healing Center and Tranquility Spa
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Float Om Spa Healing Center and Tranquility Spa's own information: filters the full tank 3× between floats, UV sterilization, hydrogen peroxide.

From the reviews
I was totally sceptical about sensory deprivation before I had my first float. Now that I have done this I would recommend to everyone. Excellent way to reflect inward about your life. I would love to this again. Thank you.
I was vacationing in Eugene when the decision was made to try out a deprivation tank. I am very grateful we found Float Om for the adventure. The experience from start to finish was very relaxing and recharging. It was a very lovely space to just turn your mind off and float in peace in tranquility.
This is my first floating experience and it was perfectly extraordinary. With emphasis on the 'extra'. My first challenge was to avoid getting the Epsom salt water into my eyes. The Epsom, as with any salt, causes slight irritation because it will make your eyes dry.
Great floating experience! I have been interested in trying an isolation tank for awhile now, and yesterday I finally went for the first time. The owner is great, and enjoyed the clean space - I will definitely be back. My floating experience was wonderful.
Your first float at Float Om Spa Healing Center and Tranquility Spa
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
