The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
A walk-in enclosure with full standing height — for taller floaters and anyone who wants privacy without a low lid.

This place was amazing and just what I needed. I had some unfortunate business to take care of with family. I needed some clarity and this float center came through for me. I was amazed at the cleanliness of the facility compared to other float centers I've visited. DO NOT pass this little gem of a place up.
After more than 30 years of little to no contact myself, my sister and 2 cousins enjoyed not only our stay but the flying yoga experience. We had missed years of memories together and we took advantage of the time, comfort and easy of the location. Dubuque a d the Float and Fly will forever be a cherished memory.
It was my first float today. I loved it so much. I was worried about it being too silent and too dark, so I had them play thunderstorm sounds. Next time I will go for the totally quiet and dark experience. Just was really cool. They had everything there you need! Even provided a hairdryer and hair products.
New review from service on June 26, 2025 Today I went and had a facial service after I went and use my membership for my float. All I can say is very good praises for Abby who did my facial.
Your first float at Float and Fly Wellness Studio
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
