The tanks & rooms here
No lid to close over you — the answer for anyone who feels boxed in. Open pools, open rooms, or pods whose door stays open.
The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.
Water & cleaning at East Coast Float Spa Yardley
Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From East Coast Float Spa Yardley's own information: UV sterilization, ozone, hydrogen peroxide.

The Float Center is very clean and inviting. They really thought about the experience of the guest when planning the amenities in each float room.
Wow! I just had my first float experience. It was wild! I absolutely loved the ambience and decor. I had no idea what to expect, but Dennis provided extremely thorough and clear instructions. I came to East Coast Float Spa looking for relief from chronic pain and left feeling more restored than I ever imagined. I started with the infrared sauna, which loosened my muscles, and then moved into the float. The entire experience was seamless and calming—warm, private, and effortless.
I had a wonderful first float experience while 37 weeks pregnant! The facility is beautiful with everything you could want/need. I wasn't sure what to expect since you typically cannot lay on your back in later pregnancy but I really needed the relaxation so wanted to give it a try.
Your first float at East Coast Float Spa Yardley
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
