Water & cleaning at Centner Wellness Gables

Sanitation is the thing seasoned floaters care about most, and most directories never show it. Between every float, the salt water should be pumped through fine filtration and disinfected — salt alone is not enough. From Centner Wellness Gables's own information: ozone.

The float-industry standard is turning the entire volume of water over at least three times between sessions through a 1–10 micron filter, paired with UV and/or hydrogen peroxide or ozone. If a center doesn't publish its process, it's fair to ask.

Many floaters stack their session with contrast therapy the same day. Beyond the float tank, Centner Wellness Gables also offers:

From the reviews

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Centner Wellness, and I must say, the experience was truly spectacular! I had the opportunity to try the Mind Float session, which was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The Compression Boots were also amazing, leaving my legs feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Amazing experience! Slept like a baby after a few VEMI bed sessions. From the entrance there is a calm energy that balances the chakras and it lingers for weeks - many can attest to their unique service. Highly recommended 💆🏻‍♀️💆🏾‍♂️👦🏻👴🏼👵🏾 Picture: Flotation Therapy Tank

According to AI, the services provided here would be sought after by the most elite athletes. The facility is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The management is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I used the flotation capsule and it felt like I was floating peacefully in outer space.

Your first float at Centner Wellness Gables

Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.

Floating isn't for everyone: skip it with epilepsy, kidney disease, uncontrolled heart conditions, open wounds, a contagious condition, or in the first trimester of pregnancy without your doctor's OK. If in doubt, ask the center and check with a physician — this is general information, not medical advice.
