The tanks & rooms here
No lid to close over you — the answer for anyone who feels boxed in. Open pools, open rooms, or pods whose door stays open.
The classic enclosed capsule with a hinged lid. Deepest sensory deprivation; you lie down and pull the lid to.
The room itself is the vessel: no hatch, walk straight in. Great for claustrophobia and easier access.

From the reviews
Tried float therapy for the first time recently and was shocked at how much I actually felt very relaxed… I left feeling like my nervous system had been entirely reset 😌 Tried it again today and it wasn’t a fluke, I feel great again😅 The owner does a good job explaining to you what to expect and teaching you what to…
As a guy who deals with constant muscle strain from wearing down my body in the gym, I've always been curious about the benefits of float tanks and massage therapy for muscle recovery. After my first experience with Calm Waters, I can say that the decompression I felt while floating certainly helped.
I cannot recommend Calm Waters enough! It’s such a restorative environment. What they offer is top notch—massage therapy, float tanks (aka sensory deprivation tanks), sauna, & red light therapy—plus more! After my float, Teresa was amazing for the head spa w/ upper body massage.
This was first time at Calm Waters and it was excellent from the moment I got there. They took time to explain my float and made the experience even better. I felt like I knew exactly how to do it from the start which made the experience so much more enjoyable and relaxing.
Your first float at Calm Waters Float and Wellness
Never floated before? Almost no one has their first time, and a good center expects it. Here's what to know. What it is: you float effortlessly in about ten inches of skin-temperature water saturated with around 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt — so dense you cannot sink. In the dark and quiet, with no light, sound, or gravity to react to, your nervous system downshifts. Before you come: don't shave or wax for a day beforehand (salt stings fresh cuts — they'll have barrier ointment if you nick yourself), skip caffeine, eat a light meal an hour or two before, and remove contacts. If you colored your hair recently, wait a few days. In the tank: shower first, put earplugs in before you get wet, and keep a fresh-water spray bottle within reach for salt in the eyes. You can leave the light or music on until you settle, then turn them off from inside. Hold your arms out for the first 20–30 seconds to stop bobbing, then let go. It takes a few tries — the first 20 minutes are usually your mind winding down. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to shower and get oriented.
